Wants, Needs, and Sonship

If God is wanting to change destructive behaviors in us, giving us what we want (which we think we need) is not good for us or will not provide a motivation for change, but will enable us to continue in those same behaviors, BUT if He holds back in giving us what we want, it provides the necessary pain and suffering of discipline needed to lead us to repentance and the empowerment for change that He’ll provide, if  our hearts are sincere. This discipline also distinguishes us as a beloved son, greatly valued by our Father. God can never be accused of being permissive, enabling, apathetic, distant, or weak when it comes to our care and growth. He will give us what we need, and not what we want. He is conforming us into the image of His first-born Son.

Many Paths to God! (?)

There are indeed many paths to God, in the sense that we are unique individuals and our callings, and the good works He has fashioned us for, as saints, create a different “looking” path from each other, but none of these lead to God that are outside of Christ, His Son! The truth is and will always remain (as truth established by God doesn’t ever change)  that there is ONE way to the Father, and that is through believing in, receiving, and following Christ. He alone bridges the gap that our sins created to the One and Only God! So, when you hear the expression “many paths to God” acknowledge the differences of our walks, to those who’ve trusted Christ, but don’t be deceived into believing  that other religions are on that path, because the path is none other than Christ Himself!!!!! The spirit of this world would have you think different, but the saints of God know, hold onto, and proclaim the Truth.
Tell me again, Lord, for I love to hear your Word!
“I am THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life. NO man comes to the Father, but by Me.”-John 14:6.
